Ella Mae Norfleet Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ella Mae Lassiter Norfleet was born on August 30, 1950 in Hertford County to the late Rupert and Nannie Ruth Lassiter. Ella attended Robert L. Vann and received her General Education Diploma from Roanoke Chowan Technical Institute. Soon after she decided to further her education and received her welding certificate from said institution; after which she became employed with Easco Aluminum where she worked as an inspector for seventeen years. She later worked for Alpha Security Guard & Patrol as an office assistant and retired in 2011. At an early age Ella attended Calvary Baptist Church. In 1979 she joined Soul Saving Station where she remained a faithful member until her death. Ella was preceded in death by her son Anthony Burke. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 22 years Rudolph Norfleet; three sons Timothy Lassiter (Greta), Andre Lassiter (Kimberly) and Demetrius Lassiter (Pamela) all of Ahoskie, NC; two stepchildren Rodney Bland (Shonda) and Shannon Staton both of Williamston, NC; one sister Virginia Eley of Ahoskie, NC; three brothers Johnnie Lassiter (Frieda), William Bunch (Myra) and Curtis Hall (Alma) all of Ahoskie, NC; a mother-in-law Mary Norfleet of Windsor, NC; six brother-in-laws and four sister-in-laws; ten grandchildren who she adored Dorian, Andrea (Brian), Andre (Brittany), Timothy, Brittany, Anthony, Demetrius, JaBria, Moriah and Demari; five step-grandchildren Genesia, Ken, Jeffrey, Raquel and Donquel; three great-grandchildren Jaiden, Andre and Ayden; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins whom she loved dearly. And three special friends fondly known as the “Golden Girls”.
