Mother Fannie M. Wiggins (89), transitioned peacefully from her earthly life to eternal rest on June 17, 2019 at Three Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Windsor, NC. She was the daughter of the late James and Janie Smallwood Pugh of Lewiston, NC. Mother Wiggins received her formal education in the Bertie County Schools. Sixty plus years ago, she decided to accept Jesus as her all and all. She was saved by His grace and served Him until her demise. Before her physical health failed, she served diligently at Saint Luke Healing Temple as a missionary, president of the Bible Band, pianist and in what ever way she was needed. Mother Wiggins not only served her Lord and Savior in the confines of St Luke Healing Temple, she did outreach in her community and at three area nursing homes, (Three Rivers and Brian Center in Windsor, NC and Accordius Care in Ahoskie, NC). She was a spreader of God's Word where every she went. Mother Wiggins was the epitome of a virtuous woman. Her work career included being employed for over 27 years at Hamilton Beach in Washington, NC and doing domestic work. Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Kathleen Gay, Ellis Wiggins (Viola) and Woodroe Wiggins Jr. (Patricia) all of Lewiston, NC; ten grand children; thirteen great grand children and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband (Woodroe Wiggins Sr.), parents and all five of her siblings.
