Odell Reynolds Robinson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Tuesday March 30, 2021, God put his loving arms around Odell Reynolds Robinson (97) and gently lifted her soul from this world of suffering, pain and sorrow to a place of eternal peace. She was the daughter of the late Brode and Eular Manley Reynolds. Odell's early education was received in the public schools of Hertford County (Robert L. Vann). After high school she attended McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York. Completing and graduating from mortuary science school started her life long career as a embalmer and funeral director at Reynolds Funeral Home in Ahoskie, NC, which was the business her father started for his family in 1926. Odell not only embalmed for her family business but for several other funeral homes in Eastern North Carolina. She was a faithful member of New Ahoskie Missionary Baptist Church where she was known as one of the "Golden Girls" and where she served as a trustee until her health begin to fail. Left to cherish her memories are one daughter, JoAnn Weaver Vann of the home; two grandchildren, Maurice Vann (Iulia) of Greensboro, NC and Kristin Vann of Charlotte, NC; nine great grandchildren; Reynolds Funeral Home Family; a host of other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Raymond Robinson; one grandson, Larry "Cutt" Vann and her siblings.
